For those with too little time to spare - a tantalizing taste of Tribal Bastar. The Land of tribal’s, surrounded with dense forests, hilly mountains , streams, waterfalls , natural caves , natural parks etc. Here the art & culture is the valuable ancient property of the Bastariyas.
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, meet, assist & transfer to hotel. Check in & overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi / Raipur – Kanker (150 Kms & 3 Hrs)
Morning assisted transfer to Delhi domestic airport for connect flight to Raipur. On arrival at Raipur transfer to Kanker Palace, Gateway to Tribal Bastar. On arrival, check in & followed by an introduction to the Kanker royal family. Overnight at the palace.
 
Day 03 : Kanker – Jagdalpur (160 Kms & 4 Hrs)
Morning leave for Jagdalpur. En-route visit a tribal village near Bahigaon and a little farher down the road visit the Saathi NGO handicrafts project set up at Kumharpara (Potters’ Enclave). On arrival at Jagdalpur, check in & overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Jagdalpur and South Bastar
Full day excursion into the country of the Bison-Horn Maria and Dhurwa tribes.You will see a performance of the spectacular local dances and get a good look at village life, costumes, ornaments and customs. Also visit Tribal Weekly Markets (exact locations depending on the day of the week). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Jagdalpur – Kanger Valley NP – Chitrakote – Jagdalpur
Full day excursion to visit Kanger Valley National Park an hour or so south of Jagdalpur where there are also famous stalactite and stalagmite formations in the Kutumsar and Kailash Caves. Also see the Chitrakote Waterfall on the Indravati River which is illuminated after sunset.
Day 06 : Jagdalpur - North Bastar (125 Kms & 3 Hrs)
Morning leave for Narayanpur - principal town of North Bastar. Visit en route a Muria village to see an example of traditional dance by young Gotul members. Here you will have an opportunity to view a rare film - A Jungle Saga - made nearly 50 years ago in Garh Bengal by noted Swedish filmmaker Arne Sucksdorff. Overnight at a very simple rural accommodation at Narayanpur.
Day 07: Narayanpur – Kanker (100 Kms & 3 Hrs)
Later in the day, drive back to Kanker. Check in at the palace. Later visit a beedi (tendu leaf cigarette) factory at Charama, a temple and waterfall at Siyadai, and go boating and bird-watching in the backwaters of the river Mahanadi at Paur. Overnight at the palace.
Day 08 : Kanker – Raipur / Delhi
Later this day, departure transfer to Raipur for connect flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, meet, assist & transfer to International airport for connect flight to home destination.
