Anita was traveling the world before she ever started in tourism. By the age of 15 she had been around the world twice and travel was a way of life to her. Travel not only opened up a world of people, culture, art, architecture, cuisines and beautiful vistas but it also helped her see the plight of both the planet and it’s many populations that were struggling with deforestation, hunger, drought and a destruction of natural resources. Twenty years ago, she founded a travel business, Fantastic journeys to introduce travelers to the bounty of our planet and its people as also to improve the conditions through conservation, ecology, study abroad, health & wellness and humanitarian programs. She founded a nonprofit, Art of Giving Inc. to help indigenous people become sustainable through art and tourism and was engaged in creating a sustainable tourism project for Amerindian villages in Guyana, South America. Anita holds an MBA and brings a diverse skillset of business acumen combined with business training, marketing and people skills. Through her many projects Anita is well connected in the international government and business world.
